Zofia Stanecka’s book entitled “Troy: The History of the Fall of the City” [“Troja: Historia upadku miasta”, 2017] belongs to the “I Am Reading” series of the Egmont publishing house. It is dedicated to children who are already able to grasp the whole sentences.

The book not only talks about the history of Troy but also about the importance of such values as courage and love. It shows a serious problem also in the context of contemporary culture – the helplessness of the victims in facing the war.
The publication has interesting drawings, created by Piotr Fątrowicz. The large font used in the book and some selected words listed in the frames at the margins of the pages make it easy to the reader to assimilate new vocabulary.
